Boldt names COO, promotes executives

The Boldt Company announces several executive-level promotions at offices nationwide. According to Boldt President Dave Kievet, all individuals have a long history of service to the company and delivering excellent outcomes for customers. “Each of these team members has achieved high levels of operational excellence and demonstrated strategic visioning,” Kievet said. “Their continued leadership will help us grow our services and continue to be recognized as a leader in the construction services industry.”

David Thomack - Portrait

David Thomack has been promoted to chief operating officer for The Boldt Company. He is a 30-year veteran of the construction industry, most recently serving as Boldt’s president of Western and Construction Operations. Thomack joined Boldt in 2005 and has successfully led major construction projects for owners across the country including California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) and Sutter Health, University of California — San Francisco (UCSF), San Francisco Airport, The University of Wisconsin — Madison and Sacred Heart/St. Mary’s Health Systems. In addition, he was a business leader and led operations for Boldt’s Western Operations division for ten years. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering and construction management from the University of Wisconsin — Madison where he currently serves as a member of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Industry Advisory Board. He is also a board member of The Construction Employers Association (CEA) and past board member of the northern California Lean Construction Institute (LCI). He is currently based out of the firm’s San Francisco office and manages nationwide operations. 

Jeff Shipley - Portrait

Jeff Shipley has been promoted to president of Southern and Western Operations. Shipley has been employed with Boldt for more than 15 years and most recently led the Southern Operations group. Prior to that, he expanded construction services to the automotive market and led the firm’s business in the industrial sector. Under his leadership, his deep knowledge of construction operations and disciplined project management provided a strong resource to customers. Shipley holds a degree in construction science from the University of Oklahoma where he served on the Construction Science Advisory Board.  He has volunteered for the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Oklahoma, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Southern States Automotive Contractors Association. He will continue to be based out of the firm’s Oklahoma City office. 

Steve Lind

Steve Lind has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Western Operations. Lind has been employed with Boldt for more than 15 years and has held various positions within the company including project financial manager, controller, and area manager. Under his leadership in the San Francisco office, he successfully improved processes at both the project and operating group level and worked with management and project leaders to ensure financial goals were consistently met. Lind holds an undergraduate degree in business finance from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. He is a board member of the Construction Industry Education Foundation and San Francisco’s Mission Hiring Hall. In his new role, Lind will manage Boldt’s San Francisco, Sacramento, and Southern California offices.
