EDF Renewables – O’Brien Solar Farm

Renewable Energy Construction - Solar Energy

The Boldt team successfully completed the racking / tracker installations as well as module installations for the EDF Renewables, O’Brien Solar project. The team implemented advanced work packaging and production planning techniques to complete this fast-paced project, on time and under budget.

Upon project award, the Boldt team, working with the local carpenter’s hall, deployed resources to the Soltec manufacturing training facility to receive advanced training on the single access tracking equipment. This knowledge was used to develop the advance work packages and detailed production planning metrics that allowed the team to perform at the required production rates.

This work was performed through a harsh winter season. The implementation of prefabrication tents allowed progress to continue through challenging weather days.
