National Volunteer Month – Boldt employees make a difference in their communities

April is National Volunteer Month, a time to celebrate and recognize the valuable contributions that volunteers make to communities all around the U.S. The spirit of giving is alive and well, and this month gives us the opportunity to acknowledge those who give generously of their time and talents to improve the lives of others.

The Boldt Company has a long history of supporting community organizations and initiatives. As a company, we have enthusiastically contributed to local projects that promote education, healthcare, and the arts, among many others. We have also made significant donations to nonprofit organizations that work to address important social issues.

In addition to our company commitment, we encourage our employees to get involved in their local communities by offering every full-time employee eight hours of volunteer time off (VTO) to engage with the nonprofit of their choice on company time. Since Boldt’s VTO program launched in 2022, Boldt employees nationwide have logged almost 2,000 volunteer hours, serving over 180 organizations.

“When I use my VTO hours, I get to see and learn about different sides of their community that I may not know much about,” said Adam Minten. “Through Boldt’s VTO program, I have the opportunity to use my time and talents to help those in need in ways I may never have thought of before.”

At Boldt we are united with a bold idea: There’s more than one way to build. The work we do, the relationships we forge, and the lives we change can make the world a better place. This sentiment has guided our community involvement efforts for over a century, and it’s a testament to the values of the company and its generous and caring employees.

“It’s great to see our employees getting out of the office and volunteering in our community,” said Boldt President of Southern and Western Operations Jeff Shipley. “Boldt understands any act of service — no matter how big or small — makes a difference, and we’re glad to provide our employees with a flexible program to give back.”

As we celebrate National Volunteer Month, let us take a moment to recognize the spirit of giving that is embodied by Boldt, its employees, and the countless other organizations, businesses and individuals who give selflessly of their time and talents to make the world a better place. Whether it’s through volunteering, donating, or simply spreading kindness and positivity, we all have the power to make a difference in the lives of others.

We have a great start to 2023!
