Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. - Maintenance and Engineering Center

The Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, designs, develops, manufactures and services private business-class jet aircraft. Gulfstream recently engaged Boldt as part of a highly collaborative design-build team to manage the construction of a new state-of-the-art maintenance and repair facility in Appleton, Wisconsin.

The new 180,000 SF facility, located just northeast of the airport terminal, features a full-scale airplane hangar, offices, workshops and support spaces to service and maintain aircraft. Additionally, the facility includes a Customer Innovation Lab, which allows customers to work directly with a designer to make individual aesthetic choices for their aircraft. Now completed, this facility is intended to serve as a template for similar facilities in the US and abroad.
