Universal Health Services – Sierra Vista Hospital

Universal Health Systems - Sierra Vista Hospital Exterior Lit at Dusk

Sierra Vista Hospital is a full-service behavioral health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. The hospital has provided care in the area for more than 25 years. In order to keep up with the increasing needs of the community, Sierra Vista Hospital engaged Boldt to manage the construction of a two-story, 21,000 SF addition comprising 50 new beds to their existing 120-bed facility.

In addition to the patient beds, the new addition included a nurses’ station, staff offices, a day room and a quiet room. The project complies with the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) regulations for seismic activity. Additionally, this was the first time in California history that a precast structure received an OSHPD-certified rating.
