The Boldt Company Hires Divisional Leader

(APPLETON, WI) Dec. 17, 2019–Ben Bruns has joined The Boldt Company as executive vice president for its Northern Operations group. In this position, Bruns will lead business development and operations for Boldt’s Wisconsin offices in Green Bay, Appleton, and Stevens Point.

Bruns brings nearly two decades of experience in business development, jobsite project management, and engineering to Boldt. He most recently served as vice president of The Weitz Company, a national commercial contracting firm headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa. In Des Moines, he was a community champion, philanthropist, and volunteer serving areas ranging from arts and culture to at-risk youth and families.

A former All-American for Iowa State University, Bruns is also a veteran freelance sportscaster and spent 10 years as a volunteer high school football assistant coach. Between playing and coaching, he was part of six championship teams. He says that strong teams have always played an integral role in his past success, and the decision to join The Boldt Company is another example.

“Boldt is a company that values safety, Lean fundamentals, and innovation,” he said. “It’s a team I wanted to be part of because of its honestly, integrity, and fairness–as well as the great outcomes it delivers for its customers. I am excited to help Boldt continue to deliver outstanding customer service and give back passionately to the communities it serves.”

Bruns will be based in the company’s Appleton headquarters.

“The Fox Cities is a community that supports local business, welcomes innovation, and offers extensive opportunities to give back,” Bruns said. “That’s a place where I know my family and I can be successful, and I look forward to continuing my career in Appleton.”
